Hello everyone, welcome back to my blog and if you are new here…. You are very welcome😊.
Its the last day of the year and there’s a lot of speculation as regards the new year. People are beginning to talk about resolutions, people making plans for the new year(am guilty of this🙈)….with everyone trying to make the best of the coming year and generally just be better at who/what they are and do respectively.
Why am I writing this post? Well, I just really want to share my two cents concerning making plans and resolutions for a new year.
I’d like us to know that we really don’t need to beat the past year’s mistakes, accomplishments and progress( like yes, its okay to celebrate and all but keep it minimal)… Why? because there’s a whole lot more of opportunities the new year will birth, new, maybe better opportunities. We just need to recognise and grab the opportunity.
Also, realise that you are still the same person as you were the year before ….and just because you’re in a new year doesn’t necessarily mean that you are a new you. No. I say if you don’t make a conscious effort to change some of the things that you actually do not like about yourself, you’d still remain in that same old spot you were, year in year out.
Sorry to disappoint you, but just as I have come to the realization of it that if you don’t make moves, the moves won’t make you. You have to take a step towards progress before anything can happen. Plus, don’t just make a move… Make a Smart move💁, think clearly, and implement.
The God Factor- some of us just plan forgetting the God factor. Truth is, you may not know what God’s plan is for you, but whatever you plan…carry God along in your Prayers. Prayer is the key to all doors…. PRAY. May our prayers be answered🙏.
In a nutshell, avoid making plans/ resolutions based on your emotions as it will wear off after the month of January(am being honest). Now, you don’t want to make short term resolutions/plans, do you?
Okay guys, so that’s my two cents about planning/making new year resolutions….I hope you enjoyed reading as much as I did writing it. What do you think? I look forward to reading your comments.
